Nippon Seiki (Europe) BV, subsidiary of one of the world’s leading suppliers in the automotive industry, will relocate its local office into the Argon building in Alchemia. The new office will be nearly 800 sq. m big and will provide a comfortable working environment for the company’s further rapid growth in Gdańsk.
Gdańsk engineering conquering the world
Nippon Seiki Group is the world leader in Head-Up-Display (HUD) design and production. The company employs 15,000 people worldwide. Nippon Seiki (Europe) BV, headquartered in Hoofddorp in the Netherlands, was founded in 2002 and is a subsidiary of Nippon Seiki Co. Ltd. located in Nagaoka, Japan. The Gdańsk branch is one of the few automotive companies in northern Poland and a direct subcontractor for premium vehicle manufactures like Porsche, BMW, Daimler, Audi and Jaguar Land Rover. The engineers in Gdańsk cooperate with the engineering centres in Germany, the United Kingdom and Japan. They are also in direct contact with the company’s clients – vehicle manufacturers. The company employs primarily specialists in the areas of product specification, design, implementation and testing of software for driving information systems. These are complex projects that result in the creation of the final product used in motor vehicles all over the world.
Our engineering office in Gdańsk is developing very rapidly. There are currently 40 people working in the office, but we are planning to double that amount within the next few years. This is largely the result of the high-level skills of Polish engineers and programmers who are seen as valued experts internationally. The Argon building offers us a convenient and well-connected location. The building and its surroundings are also in line with modern and innovative vision for our company development
Wojciech Gutowski, Nippon Seiki Polish branch manager, says.
The new company office will be located on the sixth floor of the Argon building, taking up nearly 800 sq. m of space.
Nippon Seiki is another example of a global company making use of the extensive potential of the local workforce - in this case – of engineers. I believe that the new space in Argon will foster an even more dynamic development of the company
Marcin Piątkowski, Torus Leasing Director, says.
The lease agreement for the office, signed with property developer Torus, covers a period of five years. The new office will be opened at the beginning of November. Nippon Seiki will join a growing family of tenants that have relocated their existing Gdańsk offices into Argon.
