I am an amateur triathlete, so for me, taking part in Torus Triathlon In Da House has been a fun distraction during the quiet winter period, when there are no triathlon competitions. What a pleasant change it has been to do something competitive while still training before the season starts. What I really enjoy about this event is being so close to the spectators – they are not somewhere far away in the stands, they are there with you, cheering you on, even when you’re in the water!
Sylwester Pięta, competitor from Radio Gdańsk, said
Aside from the main relay competition for business teams, we have also made room for individual triathletes.
We would like to invite everyone who has registered for the event to our special swimming, cycling and running training sessions. All sessions will be conducted by our professional triathletes – Tadeusz Czepukojć, Bartosz Banach and Paweł Miziarski. These sessions will help all our participants, beginners or pros, to fully prepare for the event without risking their health.

There were noticeable improvements week by week and I was really impressed by the professional standard of our coaches. Training was a mere one-hour session in the morning and while the treadmills were crowded at that time, my training was fully personalised to my needs.

I like running outside, so running indoors on a treadmill was a challenge. The previous year I had been training with Tadeusz. I remember that those sessions had given me a lot, because running indoors is completely different and you must watch your step. I trained once a week to prepare for the event.

By organising a triathlon competition within our office building complex, we hope to activate and integrate the business community, help to strengthen teamwork and enable the participants to experience an amazing sporting adventure that may result in the start of a passion for life.
- Promoting an attractive look for the company on the job market – a company that looks after its employees and promotes a healthy, active lifestyle;
- Building positive relationships in the team by linking together the ideas of cooperation, integration and good fun – we’re all in it together!
- Encouraging employee integration and teamwork, increasing employee satisfaction and loyalty;
- Meeting in a neutral, competitive sports environment;
- Networking with new business partners;
- Assisting people in need through a charitable cause.
It’s not really about competing against others, but against yourself. There are a lot of thoughts in your mind going into this, so I only began to appreciate my achievement after it was all over, when people came up to congratulate us for taking part. It was then that I had realised just how much interest there is in all this. We had so much fun and we are definitely going to do it again.

We will do our best to be present at the next TTIDH, in our original squad or as part of a different one. We will choose our roles – coaches, cheerleaders or participants - to allow our colleagues that are interested to get to experience the unique atmosphere of this event.
