On 14 March, the Torus office in Alchemia's Argon building hosted the BSS Roadshow, an event promoting the first-ever nationwide report on employer-employee relations in the business services sector. Torus is a strategic partner of the event.
"Oblicza i Fakty branży BSS" is the first document of this calibre in Poland, which has been produced based on analyses of online comments posted by BSS employees and job candidates, without using surveys, anonymous questions or suggestions. The Internet provides a vast source of people's opinions on the BSS sector, employers, HR departments, recruitment processes and job benefits. Among the numerous employer concerns discussed at the meeting were employee recruitment, turnover, project delays, service centre running costs and change brought about by automation.
Key report findings
- Most employees do not tell their supervisors the truth and more than half of them do not see themselves working in the sector in the future;
- Approx. half of the workforce says they do not trust communication from their management
- Employees do not notice and/or understand the role of HR professionals; consequently, corporate image suffers even at the recruitment stage;
- Employees are largely not interested in automation, which may make its implementation difficult in the future.
Can these trends be changed? What should we pay attention to? All that was discussed during the meeting held in the Argon building. Complementing this exchange of ideas was a presentation on investment location delivered by Marcin Piątkowski, Torus Leasing Director. The BSS Roadshow was organised by Corporate Differently and New GS Group, with the aid of the event partner, Fundacja Pro Progressio.
